The first complete beta of 4D Web 2.0 Pack v12 – which includes the new Mobile 4D component – is now available.
4D Web 2.0 Pack users will be pleased to know that the first version of 4D Web 2.0 Pack fully compatible with 4D v12 is now available for beta testing. It features 4D Ajax Framework, Cal4D and the all-new Mobile4D.
Qualified users (the ones with a valid maintenace contract, Ed.) will be contacted directly with download information. If you have any issues with notification or with the download itself, please contact your local 4D representative.
Mobile4D utilizes the built-in data storage of all Webkit-powered browsers on devices like iPhone, iPad and Android, allowing users to access their data, even when in offline mode. When users connect, they can synchronize all of their changes with the database server. This new capability will be a powerful addition to 4D v12 applications.
The Mobile4D beta is open to 4D Partners via a dedicated Mobile4D section of the forum.
NOTE: 4D for Flex is not affected by this beta. It now maintains its own lifecycle as an open source product available to registered 4D Web 2.0 Pack users, downloadable via the usual channel.
