AreaList Pro v9 – Status

AreaList Pro v9.0 MC9 is available from the following URL:

AreaList Pro version 9 introduces the following features:

  • – New API based upon a full list of properties that the developer can set / get
  • – Hierarchical lists display
  • – Grid mode (a series of cells, defined by a two-dimensional array)
  • – Mapped values
  • – Ability to hide individual columns
  • – 4D v12 styled text
  • – 4D v12 hierarchical menu popups
  • – Controls in lists
  • – RGB colors with transparency
  • – Caching of formatted values (speeds up display)
  • – Drag and drop from and to non ALP and non 4D objects, including desktop items, files and folders
  • – Full unicode support including display and data entry
  • – Separate XML file for formats, months names, colors names, etc.
  • – Native look, using up-to-date drawing libraries (CoreText / CoreGraphics on Mac, GDI+ on Windows)
  • – Wrapped text and dynamic row height
  • – New text attributes, including vertical alignment, rotated text, horizontal scaling and line spacing

ALP v9.0 mc9 changes

  • – fixed row height computation
  • – added new feature: auto snap last column to fill the ALP area
  • — added new area property: property name: ALP_Area_AutoSnapLastColumn property value: “snap” XML attribute name: “autoSnapLastCol” property is read/write/persistent property type: Boolean default value: False usage: If set, the last visible column will be resized (ALP_Column_Width) to match the area size if there is enough space left. comments: When initializing an area from advanced properties created with earlier versions, if all visible columns have non-zero (fixed, not automatic) width and the sum of all column widths is equal to area width – 1 – 16 (if the vertical scrollbar is visible) and the last column’s width after adjustment is at least 5 pixels, this property will be set to true.

ALP v9.0 mc8 changes

  • – fixed alternate row coloring to be compatible with ALP 8.x
  • – added persistency for “Popup Array” in Advanced Properties
  • – added new column property: ALP_Column_PopupName (internal  –  used in Advanced Properties)

ALP v9.0 mc7 change

  • – fixed handling of CR/LF when displaying values
